- Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
- Brush: Ever Roddy 150B
- Cream: C&E Sweet Almond Oil
- Razor: '73 Schick Stick Injector
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated injector (shave 1)
- Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & Nivea Extra Soothing ASB
- EDT: TSD Old Spice Type EDT
- Result: Another BBS shave. A few nicks cause I was in a hurry. Could have and should have gone slower cause I had plenty or time to shave. Not as enjoyable when I have to hurry. Should have planned my day better. The SAO cream is the greatest of scents in my shave fridge. Wish I would had the foresight to buy as much of the EDT and ASB as I did the cream.

Semogue 2009 LE #10 boar brush Valet Autostrop razor (Type VC2; "Million Dollar" Model C) Feather cutout SE blade (1st use) (thanks Fuzzy) Caswell-Massey Sandalwood pre-shave oil MEM, with olive oil, shave cream up & up (Target house brand) witch hazel Neutrogena Post Shave Balm Caswell-Massey Verbena talc Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet EdT (thanks Pam) Today I used the Valet Autostrop razor along with the Feather SE blade that Fuzzy sent. The shave was incredibly close, truly BBS. However, it was also an irritating shave. There was one tiny weeper on my cheek but when I rinsed my face with cold water, it disappeared. Except for that one weeper there were no cuts or nicks, unlike the open comb Micromatic that believes in the slice and dice method of shaving. The razor is an interesting one. Most of the weight is in the head so I was very aware of the 'no pressure' routine through the entire shave. It was not at all as difficult to maneuver around my face as I thought it might be. The little gears do not get in the way or accidentally scratch the face. I shall use it again tomorrow to see how it goes and if the blade, perhaps, mellows out. The irritation thing is going to be the make it/break it for this razor. I cannot imagine what the irritation would have been like if I was using a shave cream or soap that was not as protective as the MEM with olive oil that I did use. Attachments:

Micromatic Clog Pruf Treet-day 2 Mama Bear's Spellbound Woods Vintage Ever-Ready brush Brut
I'm really, really liking the Clog Pruf. I may try to stick with it for awhile.
As a side note I love the smell of the Mama Bear soap, but I don't think it performs any better than the Williams I used yesterday, and neither one of them works as well as the VDH. At least in my not so humble opinion.

Semogue 1305 boar brush Valet Autostrop razor Feather cutout SE blade (2nd use) Burt's Bees Lemon & Vitamin-E oil used as a pre-shave La Toja Sensitive shave cream up & up (Target house brand) witch hazel L'Oréal 24HR Hydrating Balm Gold Bond Medicated talc Terre d'Hermès EdT
Today, I got a totally non-irritating shave from the Autostrop/Feather combination. While the shave wasn't as close as yesterday it was certainly a very decent DFS. Down the line I shall look forward to trying the other two Autostrops that I have.

This is the first section I go to when I log in. Mine are pretty boring because I don't have umpteen brushes and soaps/creams and forty eleventy razor and blade combo's to choose from, but I really enjoy reading others choices for the day.
