Thursday Night:
GEM 1912 SE razor GEM stainless blade with PTFE coating (from Ted Pella)
Semogue 2000 boar brush Cella soft shaving soap
Thayer's Peach Witch Hazel (Astringent: 10% alcohol, no -parabens, no burn)
This was my first time using the GEM 1912. Getting the angle right seemed a little more intuitive that it is with the G-bar and the Featherweight. Also, the blade box is like a sound box, and you can hear exactly what the blade is doing. I got some irritation, so I don't know at this point how much of that is the native aggressiveness of the razor and how much of it is not yet having quite the right touch.

Pseudo Camping Shave... Sunday - soap: Mama Bear's Sandalwood Vanilla
- brush: Semogue LE 2009 #56
- razor: Open Comb 1912 Gem / Pella GEM(5th day)
- a/s: witch hazel followed by C.O. Bigelow Elixir Green
Not bad shave, but not the greatest. Had lots of problems getting lather quite right and had low visibility in the mirror. Either of these could have been remedied, but it would have woken up the rest of the family.

- Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
- Brush: Ever Ready C40 Boar
- Soap: MWF
- Razor: Eversharp-Schick G1 Injector
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated injector (shave 2)
- Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
- A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & AOS Lavender ASB
- EDT: SCS Blend 2-11
- Result: What can I say. The injectors give me the BBS shave I seek with very little effort. No blood, no irritation, just a nice smooth and comfortable shave. Had a bit of a time with the MWF on the second and third passes. Just needed to add a bit more water to get a great lather on those passes.

sunday morning:
Razor- Gem Damaskene (what's the year on these, btw?) Blade- Gem Stainless (day 2) Cream- C&E Sweet Almond A/S- Dollar Store Brut knockoff.
Results- I'm rediscovering why I liked SE shaving. I get consistently good shaves without having to think, which is important since I shave in the morning and I'm not a morning person.

Sunday Night:
GEM 1912 razor Treet carbon steel blade
Semogue 1305 boar brush Cella soft shaving soap
Thayer's Original Witch Hazel (Astringent: 10% alcohol, no -parabens, no burn)
My first pass is normally north-to-south. I thought I would try skipping this pass and going straight to the south-to-north (my normal second) pass. The more rigid SE blade, which is also a very sharp carbon steel, permitted this with no problem. The GEM 1912 does seem a little more aggressive than the G-bar and the Featherweight.
