And this is it after 2 uses, one test lather and one shave. It already is getting that nice rounded, broken in look/feel to it. Attachments:

Hey HoosierTrooper, I am glad you mentioned that because I was thinking today about how sometimes people say that they do not like shave sticks. I know you can't speak for everyone but is it the whole rubbing your face with a piece of soap thing that you don't like?
My use of shave sticks has gone up dramatically recently but I brought over a habit I had from soap cakes and creams. I would always add just a little bit more cream to my bowl or brush before starting my next pass. Or if I were using a soap I would give it a little extra load. So when I started using the sticks, I translated that into re-rubbing, the stick onto my face, after a pass before the next one. I have always done this but I think from the very first time, when I was doing the re-application, I would get an ever so slight burning (not enough for it to be uncomfortable enough for me to stop obviously) on some generalized spots of my face. So I wondered if this also deterred some people from using shave sticks. Or it could just be me, I do rub pretty vigorously.

I just don't enjoy rubbing my face with it.

I'm afraid I am mostly just pucking around when it comes to soaps and have yet to get to a stick. (I do still enjoy creams though.) I did have a small hunk of Arko once, but like the OP from earlier in the thread, the scent didn't work out for me. Next time I get south of the border I will look for some stix. They have always intrigued me. Sighhhh...... so much soap, so little time! HT - that Williams is really rose scented?? Yum!!! I am a huge fan of rose soaps so I can see why you would enjoy that one. Nate - nice job!! Did you grate it fine and just compress? Or???
