I know Justin has one of these. Does anyone else have one. They are an awesome razor. Better then the closed comb that is so common.
The top is shaped different I will get a picture of mine here soon.

My luck with finding open combs is awful. I haven't tried any of the ASR open comb products - not even a micromatic. My eyes are peeled though -

I am ok with it HT! It is a mixture of my two main passions that results in this - a HUGE interest in vintage razors, and a MORE HUGE dedication to being cheap! ;D It takes a little time to pamper the RAD, but I get there. There are still about a gazillion, no wait, two gazillion, razors that I would like to acquire. But, the single edge early open combs (and even if I had to admit, the 30's gillette open combs ) remain on my 'hunting 'list. That way I always have a reason to get the family to wait in the car on a hot day while I 'quickly run in' to every antique and second hand store we pass. One day HT - I will score and I will be sure to come here to brag!

I've got a 1912 open comb. I prefer his younger siblings as shavers though.

The 1912 is an ok shaver but doesn't compare to the large lather catchers in the family!! I must admit though, they need to take a modern SE blade for me to throw the razor into the loop. I have yet to get any good with a sharpener! (I do have a line on an Allegro E though and I am hoping to come up with one of those soon. It might help!)

Very, very nice score Highball. I can see you have been keeping your eyeballs peeled! Looking forward to seeing some pics once you get it. I'm afraid you are now going to have to comment about how the shaves are!! ;D

I had a great shave with my open comb 1912 today, it seems just a little more aggressive then my other 1912's.

Classic case of YMMV. I find the open comb to be much less aggressive. Sort of like a S/E Gillette Super Speed.

I have the gem damaskeene. Agressive (or more) as a Micromatic. Don't like it. Any1 care to buy it (the handle is wrong)?

I have an open comb and Damaskeene and on open comb Gem Deluxe. Both are fantastic shavers, but I cannot say I notice a major upside over the standard 1912 style comb, which is already pretty open compared to DE straight bars.
