Greetings all! It is high time I placed an ad on this shaving forum particularly since I'm an exclusive SE shaver! Most of you know me from the other forums but for those of you that don't, I own and operate Superlather.com and have been selling my wares from that most excellent domain for about three years now. I focus on fine European shaving creams, soaps, and aftershaves that aren't readily had elsewhere. I sell a variety of brands including Floid, Irisch Moos, and a number of others but don't dawdle reading this ad! It's time to get over to... www.superlather.com

Greetings all! Just a brief update as I've been rather scarce in the forums lately.
No doubt you have heard about the record flooding this past weekend in the Mid-South. Some of you reading this may be contending with it on a daily basis and know all too well what I'm talking about. My thoughts and prayers go out to you if you are and I really hope that all my customers in and around Nashville and Arlington TN are doing well because I've seen firsthand how hard those areas were hit.
Here in Brownsville we got about 12-13 inches of rain in less than 24 hours but where I live there was no flooding although there has been quite a bit on the edge of town. It has been playing havoc with the phone, cable, and internet services however but things seem to be better today. My incoming shipments from my suppliers have been delayed and have also been slow processing through Customs. Whether this is directly or indirectly attributable to the flooding I can't say. I'm expecting the rest of the Floid tomorrow so some of you will be receiving an email from me this weekend concerning your reservation.
I should be caught up on my backlog of orders tomorrow morning as well. I appreciate everyone's patience.
My new product search is not going as well as I had hoped. I rejected the contemplated addition of a couple of items because I could not negotiate a mutually beneficial arrangement with the suppliers. We may live in a global village but a number of European merchants are still surprisingly resistant to the idea of shipping internationally. I also opted against the addition of another item that I had already ordered because on reflection I didn't feel that it would sell that well. Nevertheless I continue to actively pursue the addition of a couple of aftershaves that I feel would be of real benefit to the Superlather lists but so far they have proven rather elusive. Hope springs eternal though!
I'll post an update on the website once the rest of my Floid shipment comes in tomorrow as there are some Proraso products in there too. The Irisch Moos order has been delayed until this coming week. That's another story but the short line on that is that a rather bizarre combination of circumstances have militated against that order moving in a timely fashion. We even had a volcano in the mix at one point doing its bit! The big 'E' out of Iceland!!
And now you good folks are up to date!
Cheers!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around much lately but there have been other demands on my time and unfortunately I haven't had a whole lot of spare time for posting in the forums. I do check in now and again though so don't think I've abandoned you completely!
Anyway for those of you that are wondering I have caught up on the backlog of orders I've had and now the only orders that remain to ship are the ones that have come in since last Thursday (June 3rd) and those will go out tomorrow.
I want to thank all of the old timers that have been popping up lately in the Superlather Purchases list my cart generates. I also want to extend a hearty welcome to the newcomers that have been beating a path to my door lately. I really appreciate that!
I have made a few minor updates to the website. The big news is a new product announcement. I'm thinking about stocking the Spanish Blue Floid. It is billed as an eau de cologne/aftershave not unlike the Alt-Innsbruck and comes in a 150ml glass bottle. My supplier doen't stock this regularly but he can get it if I commit to a minimum order. Before I do that I want to see how much interest there is out there so if you would like to purchase some of the Blue Floid from Spain drop me an email at help@superlather.com telling me so. The cost for a 150ml bottle will probably be in the 35-38 USD range.
Cheers!

Greetings all!
A few updates to the website and some good news to relate.
The Irisch Moos shipment is on the way from Germany as we speak. As soon as it arrives I will contact those of you that made reservations before the cutoff date and notify the rest of you that have emailed me since then. Sorry for the long delay since the last order but my supplier was a tad on the slow side this time around! :-) Hopefully that won't be the case regarding future orders.
The Floid/Proraso shipment left Italy today as well and should be here by week's end or next week early. Again the same procedure for contacting folks described above obtains here as well.
My Spanish supplier is waiting for the Blue Spanish Floid to land in his warehouse before he invoices me. Once he does I will be adding that new product to the Superlather lists. That shipment will only take a few days to get here once it ships. I must confess I am rather excited about the Blue Spanish. I had heard about it for some time but was under the impression Floid had quit producing it. Some of my customers are similarly excited as a few have already indicated an interest in picking up more than one bottle! Due to the minimum order I had to place for the Blues I can only bring in a few additional aftershaves due to the size/weight restrictions that govern my aftershave shipments. So for those of you that have reserved 300ml bottles of Spanish Floid I will only be able to fill a few of those orders from this shipment but I will have another order of Spanish Floid and La Toja coming behind this one so don't despair.
The Blue Spanish Floid isn't the only potential new product. I am hoping to announce at least one more in the next few weeks so stay tuned to the website.
Also I have had quite a few customers email me regarding the possibility of paying in advance for certain products e.g. Italian Floid that always seem to sell out before they have a chance to place an order once these products hit the general inventory ranks. Even though I used to take them, I don't like pre-orders but I have had a sufficient number of people contact me that I have decided to rethink my policy and I will make an announcement on the website at some point in the near future regarding whether I will start accepting them again or not. If you have an opinion one way or the other drop me a line at help@superlather.com.
Cheers!

Now, now, it's not that expensive! Just wanted to post an update. I have had a number of people email about the next shipment of Italian Floid and Proraso. They should be on their way this week and I hope to have them in hand by week's end. Notification emails will go out the day before they arrive for those that have requested to be alerted. This is my compromise solution to the idea of doing pre-orders. I am still awaiting word from my Spanish supplier about the Spanish Blue Floid in particular and the next order's invoice in general. I know it has been a while on this one but I find that is simply the way it is with my Italian and Spanish suppliers. They adhere to a radically different timetable when it comes to the conduct of business and there really isn't a whole lot I can do or say about it except send requests for an update which I have been doing. Trust me when I know something you will know something. Cheers!

A few Floid Ambers left but you had better hurry!
I have another Italian Floid/Proraso shipment working and I hope to get at least two more before the entirety of Europe goes on vacation in August.
Still no word on the Spanish Blue Floid I'm afraid but I will keep you posted through the website.

Greetings all!
Updates to the website so check those out.
Limited quantities of the Floid Amber and Proraso aftershaves still available if you hurry!
Hoping to have an announcement soon...finally...about a tobacco topnote aftershave from Germany I've been trying to run to ground for a while now so watch the News page for that.
I had a really good month in July and I want to thank everyone that patronised Superlather for that. It's always good to see old customers return but it is also good to see new faces in the queue as well and there were a bunch of you in July!
Take care until next time!

Greetings all!
And I trust this update finds you and yours well!!
Orders for the Spanish and Italian Floids have been brisk this past week! Thanks to everyone out there that has picked up a bottle or that has expressed an interest in making an acquisition in the future. I've spent the morning responding to emails in this regard. My one regret about the Floids is that I can't import more than I do at a single time using air transport!
One word of advice, if you are ordering Floid or Proraso aftershave, start out by placing just one bottle at a time in your cart even if you wish to order more than one. The reason for this is that the Floid is always a low stock item even when I've just received a shipment and the second reason is that if you place two Floids in the cart when I only have one in inventory, the cart will tell you I am out of stock when in fact I do have one available. Just something to keep in mind.
The Blue Spanish Floid has been well received. I only have a few bottles left now. I have been using this aftershave all the past week as part of my shaving routine and I've made a few observations that I thought I would share. The Italian Blue and the Spanish Blue are remarkably close in colour and their respective scents are very similar as well although the Spanish Blue seems to be slightly "sharper" to my nose. Since the Spanish Blue is marketed by Colomer as an aftershave/cologne one would expect the scent to last longer and it does. Another thing I've noticed about the Spanish Blue is that it has some of those same skin mending properties that I've only observed in one other aftershave--Swiss Pitralon. That's a commendable trait for an aftershave trait to possess. I attribute this to the slight difference in the ingredients between the Spanish and the Italian Blue and the difference in concentrations between some of the ingredients they have in common.
Since my policy governing Floid/Proraso purchases gets the award for the most frequently modified policy at Superlather, there doesn't seem to be a lot of point in changing that practice any time in the near future so here's another change!
The last two shipments have left a number of people who requested pre-shipment notifications on the Floid/Proraso emptyhanded because they made it to the website too late. I have had a number of people ask if they could do pre-orders on the Floids and Prorasos so they won't have to worry about missing the boat again. I wasn't too keen on this idea for a number of reasons but I have cautiously tested the waters with a few individuals that asked if they could do it and I'm happy to report that everything went quite well indeed. So if you are interested in doing a pre-order please contact me through the website and I will respond with the instructions on how to proceed.
Please note that there will not be anymore Floids imported until September since the entirety of Europe vacations in August apparently! :-)
Cheers!

Greetings all!
Still waiting on my suppliers to get back from holiday but I thought I would post an update here since it's been a little while since my last visit.
I'm hoping to establish a new arrangement with my Italian Floid/Proraso supplier whereby I will be able to bring in shipments more frequently. At the present time I am taking deliveries every 4-6 weeks and I am hoping to halve that time between shipments. I believe the demand is there and I hope to post on this soon with favourable news.
On a less than favourable note once I sell out of the Blue Spanish Floid I will not be restocking it. This is unfortunate as it has been selling well enough and the interest is there, it is just a problem for my supplier to get it since it is not an item he stocks as a matter of course. As a result he has to place a large minimum order to justify taking delivery in his warehouse and consequently I have to place a large--larger than normal--minimum order as well. The problem is compounded by the fact that my first order suffered a bit of pilfering whilst it was in transport to the supplier. Bottom line, my supplier is willing to order it for me but he would rather not. I'm not going to look for a Spanish supplier just to get the Blue Spanish Floid so if you are interested in getting a bottle I suggest you hurry!
On a more positive note, I am selling tubes of the Florena Sensitive and the Palmolive Sensitive for $5.00 apiece while supplies last. If you order more than $50.00 worth of product (shipping and handling excluded) you can choose one or the other as a free bonus item--again while supplies last. I'm trying to move these two items out because once they are gone I will not be replenishing my stock because I will be replacing them with a new German aftershave that I am trying to finalise the details on.
If you are interested in receiving a notification email when product is back in stock or you wish to pre-pay an item, just drop me a line through the website.
Thanks again everyone!
