i have some feather SE blades left. the only thing is that they dont have a spine. perfect for auto strop, perfect for lather catcher, but thats about it unless you want to stick a spine on each one for every use. let me know if youd still be interested. Dave are those the ones that will fit the razor that has valet cut out on it.. I mean the one with the tabs in the name that fit the cut on the blade? If so I need a few for the cigar cutter I picked up. Fuzzy Fuzzy - I have a couple of those cigar cutters and for the one I carry around in my pocket I use a regular SE blade and just rip off the spine with some plyers. If you are careful it won't scratch and you will have a nice new scary sharp blade to use. Easy to do. Of course you can use vintage Valets since they will be sharp enough and they are the correct blade for the older model utility knife if it is for display. (Although even in the day there were generics without the cutout that would have made their way into knives like these). But, I like to use the one I carry around and just pop new SE Pellas in it after I have cautiously used the knife for something like scratching cement or some such!! I always have this little Valet knife with me in my pocket as it is super handy to have such a sharp knife. Also, and this is just the wierd guy in me, I always open new postal packages that contain new razors with this knife - never just any old knife laying around - it has to be my Valet utility or nothin!!

I can not just take the spine off.. it has to have the cutouts because there are tabs that stick up that have to go into the valet letters. else the blade does not sit flush and will not close. wish I could just easily modify the blade to work as it is a great looking cutter., Fuzzy

Yea that is what keeps me from trying it, I do not have the skills to make a blade fit. I guess you could use a drill to put a hole in the blade where the cutout needs to be it is just two tabs that stick up as I recall. But it did not cost much and looks really cool on my shelf here. Something that most people do not have.

So how long would a blade last in that thing? I think I may have a few of the valet cut out blades that are unused that I can send your way.

Ok something else to think about. Would any of you guys be interested in a group buy for some of the feather SE blades that work in the valet's? They are more expensive.. around $65 for 100 plus all the shipping and stuff. I want to get some for my cigar cutter and for my razors, but can not put out that kinda plate on the blades. I do not have all the price details that is just the initial estimate from what I was told by a friend. I know they are expensive, but it is the only way that I know of to use the razors that need the cutouts... and for my cigar cutter/knife.
