hehehe the voices in my head can be very persuasive it wasn't a matter of patience though it was the fact that the money protection warranty was expiring and if I waited and it didn't come I would have been stuck with a "Well you should have contacted us earlier" response Thanks for keeping up with me and supporting me through my ordeals though ;D Took the photos need to upload them and post will do that later today

Don't you hate it when life happens and makes you get behind on stuff Well I am here to finally post on the stag model 1 compared to the number 2 model. The number 1 has almost the same head as the number 2 model except this one doesn't have a little notch that holds the blade in place like the #2 model does. The same solid handle is used for the #1 model as well Now the big difference the wheel. The model #1 uses a single wheel instead on the 2 wheels on the #2 model. This model also pivots just like the #2 model except this one seems to have a bigger area motion than the #2 As far a being able to store these things the #1 model lays flat and is easier to put away than the rigid #2 frame. Now I know the big question which one does a better job?.....Well I don't know I don't have any standard size wedge blades (only Rolls, and Wilkinson) so haven't been able to try it out yet. I have ran them both over a smooth surface to see if I could judge any change in angle or such. I think I understand the reason they kept adding more wheels with each progressive model. The #1 rolls extremely smoothly, however because it only has one wheel much like a wheel-barrow it tends to wobble on the sides. Does this have any effect on the blade? No clue but it might be that this slight wobble would cause the outer edges to not get honed as well as the middle of the blade due to this wobble. The same holds true for the #2 model. The "A" frame with 2 wheels helps to stabilize the wobble a little bit but it is still there. This is why I think they made the 4 wheel #3 model with a wheel on each corner they could maximize the stability. This is all just speculation on my part but it seems the only reason I can think of to keep adding wheels and metal and therefore driving the cost of production up. One last thing on the angles of the #1 compared to the #2. The #2's "A" frame causes the handle to scrape on the wheels if held at to extreme an angle. The #1 has no frame so you can almost stand the handle straight up and roll it. This gives you a lot a more grips available for adding pressure to the blade. Whether this is needed or not I have yet to be able to test.

Those are great pics MB. These Stags have always intrigued me and it is great to see you post the pics here.
I really didn't expect the wheel to pivot like it does on the one wheel design. I thought it would be fixed on an axle in the center. I'm not sure I see why they do that, but there must be a master plan in it somewhere!!
You gotta come up with a wedgie to sharpen dood. (I saw a four wheeler up on ebay, but it went for a pretty good price, a little over 40.00. They are worthy items - take care of the two ya got!)

Thank you, yes I too was surprised at the movement allowed on the one wheel #1 model. I think the range of motion was so the user could put more or less pressure while honing by adjusting the angle. Just a guess though I do want to get a #3 model to see if my theory on stability was the reason for more wheels being added. That will have to wait till my funds have recouped a little though I have acquired some hones and have begun to the slow process of mastering said hones. I have been able to revive one straight razor to shave ready status already so I have high hopes for future endeavorers As you said all I'm missing is the wedge blade I think I will try and sharpen one of the Rolls blades by hand just to see if I can get it sharp(er). If that goes well I can go with confidence in trying to hone with the Stags
