I mentioned in another thread that I picked up a Clog Pruf about 3 or 4 weeks ago. The first time I used it it did exactly the same thing. I took an old boar brush and cleaned the inside of the razor making sure I got underneath the 2 little tabs that hold the blade down. It never happened again. I think there must have been some dirt or residue under the tab keeping the blade from sliding all the way under it. Hope your face heals OK. In the mean time stick to the bear attack story.

The story is you were saving a bus load of Nuns from a bear attack. Thats what I said!! Those poor nuns, I felt bad for them. Only once before have I had something like this happen - it was an ER 1914 LC - and I think I whined on this site about my injuries that time too (sorry folks, I don't do well around pain and fluids, especially my own!) I will try to suffer more graciously next time. Alan, it indeed could have been something plugging up the blade stop. I keep my razors very clean and well maintained, but it is possible a piece of 'fate dirt' got in there. I bet now however, we will both be checking our blade stops for bits o stuff. (I felt bad for the poor razor for cussing it out so I have given it a real good polish this time and even a cleaning for the case.) Clog Proof - it isn't after all the 'Cut Proof'.

I like the Micromatics a lot, the Clog pruf being my favorite. It's one of the razors that I would be happy using every day.

Does anybody know when they stopped producing the MM? I'm just curious as to how old my MMs could be. I'm guessing even the last produced could be 60 years old. Amazing, they still work great!
